Every Penny CountsAs part of the Building Fund event Glenn has called on everyone to dig out their hidden pennies and bring them to the church so we can all contribute to the fund.The penny drive has been going for just over a month and we now have over $425.00 of change. To see what $450.00 dollars worth off boxed pennies looks like we have added a picture. Each box holds $25.00 of rolled pennies. Each box also weighs 13.6 pounds. If you do the calculation (17 x 13.6), that pile off pennies weighs over 230 pounds. Lets make the pile higher by keeping the pennies
rolling in. |

A Word From Pastor Ralph  The following is a letter written by Rev. D. W. Mulkey on the occasion of the formation of Dovercourt as a Church, January 3, 1960 and signed by the then members. "Having been led, as we believe, by the spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour, and on profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now, in the presence of God, angels and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ. We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk, together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church, in owledge, holiness and comfort; to promote it's prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations. |
